Meet M.E. and Celebrate Disability Employment Month
In 1945, President Harry Truman established Disability Employment Month to encourage the full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the American workforce. The Arc's Community Employment Services helps further this mission by empowering people to discover their employment goals, interests and strengths, and receive job development and successful placement assistance with satisfied business partners throughout Ventura County.
Before even completing her 3 month paid internship program, M.E. was permanently hired on in 2018 by community partner R & D Transportation. M.E.'s employment has a had a meaningful impact in her life, allowing her to develop her skills and find her own personal success. Be proud of yourself M.E.; you have worked so hard to achieve the life you envisioned.
